SSIS Catalog Deep Dive

SSIS 2012 introduces new capabilities that make it easier to deploy, configure, and manage SSIS packages in the enterprise. SSIS packages are deployed to the SSIS Catalog. On each SQL Server instance with SSIS installed, this corresponds to the user database, called SSISDB. SSISDB consists of a set of internal and public stored procedures (both T-SQL and CLR stored procedures), scalar-value functions and table-value functions (TVFs). Collectively, these provide the capabilities for SSIS 2012.
