A Web Log, more commonly referred to by the abbreviation blog, is used to publish and share short articles called posts. The author of a blog post is referred to as a blogger, and the act of creating and publishing entries is called blogging. Blogs are characterized by their format and style: a frequent series of short posts written in an informal tone and displayed in reverse chronological (most recent first) order.
