Central Administration

Central Administration is the administrative interface for administering and managing SharePoint deployments and creating new SharePoint Web applications. In SharePoint 2010, the interface has undergone considerable change in terms of manageability and look and feel to that of the Central Administration user interface in SharePoint 2007. Configuration options are more accessible via the ribbon interface and streamlined page menus. Figure 1.32 shows the main page of SharePoint 2010 Central Administration.
