Enterprise Search
Enterprise search was introduced in SharePoint Server 2007, and has been extended in SharePoint Server 2010 to have a richer interface and include wildcard searches and search results with content ratings. Content returned from search queries is security trimmed, other than in an anonymous deployment. You can extend out-of-the-box search via integration with FAST, Microsoft’s premier Internet-level search engine.
