Pages and Feature Dependencies

It’s important to realize that Feature activation at both the site collection and subsite level depends on the type of pages available throughout a site collection, as well as the type of page used as a site’s home page. In this section, I highlight the key Feature dependencies when working with pages in SharePoint sites to help you realize and plan for page types as part of your overall SharePoint 2010 deployment.

Note

If you are unfamiliar with the concept of SharePoint 2010 Features then please refer to Chapter 2 for an explanation of Features and how they relate to SharePoint 2010 deployments.
