Lists and Library Templates in SharePoint 2010
The key to successful content management in SharePoint sites is in not only how you architect your site collections, navigation, and pages, but in the types of lists and libraries you use throughout sites. For instance, SharePoint 2010 by default includes a number of list and library templates.
