When you work with sites in SharePoint Designer and customize sites it’s useful to know exactly what is being saved when you’re saving a site as a template. For instance, you might want to create a reusable site template that includes a particular list workflow or a specific style for a list view. In SharePoint 2010 including customizations as part of saved site templates is mostly achievable.
