Deleting Page Layouts
If you choose to delete a page layout then you need to be aware that you might first need to delete any dependencies related to that page layout, specifically any publishing pages that have been created from the page layout.
Initially, when you attempt to delete a page layout from the site collection’s Master Page Gallery, you receive a Confirm Delete dialog, shown in Figure 15.77.
