Theme Options Based on Product
The version of SharePoint you’re using (SharePoint Foundation 2010, SharePoint Server 2010 without the Publishing Feature enabled, or SharePoint Server 2010 with the Publishing Feature enabled) determines which theme options are available to you via the Site Theme page.
Table 18.3 shows available theme options based on the version of the product you are using. As you can see, the least theme options are available if you’re using SharePoint Foundation 2010, and the publishing Feature must be activated on a site collection in order to use the Inheritance Feature.
