Creating Profile Pages

Profile pages are used to display ECT items from search results. In SharePoint 2007, profile pages were created automatically. In SharePoint 2010, you must create a profile page for each ECT. The profile host is where all profile pages are created. If you do not have a profile host you receive an error (see Figure 20.22) when you try to create a profile page in SharePoint Designer. To resolve this issue, use the following steps.
