Form Options in SharePoint Designer 2010
When working in SharePoint Designer, there are two main types of forms, or form verbiage and screen names, you encounter when creating forms, namely custom list forms and Data Forms, which can be confusing. Here, we discuss the two types of forms and the main differences between them. Irrespective of which type of form you select at form creation, custom forms shown in ASPX pages when in design mode in SharePoint Designer are denoted as a DFWP. The main difference lies in the choice of form type you make upfront, and the process around doing that is discussed throughout this chapter.
