Time for action - getting started with mapping

Let's get started and create a Silverlight application that shows a map.

  1. Launch Visual Studio and create a new Silverlight application by choosing File|New|Project and then selecting Silverlight Application from the application templates.
  2. Name the solution CakeORamaLocations. Once its loads, go to the Solution Explorer, expand the References directory in the CakeORamaLocations project. Right-click on the References directory and click on the Add Reference... context menu, as the following screenshot demonstrates:
