Working with Databases

Using Management Portal, begin by clicking on the Databases tab and then click Create a SQL Database. On the ensuing dialog, enter a database name (our example screens use the name FirstSQLDB), select a collation (the default is a fine choice), select the subscription against which the database will be billed (use the free trial if you have one), and make sure that your server name is selected in the last drop-down. The Edition and Limit Database Size form options require some explanation before you make your selections.
