Operators have the ability to compare, manipulate, and filter data. You will be using operators in expressions or in conditional statements. SQL Server Compact Edition supports most of the operators supported by SQL Server. Both operator and expression are common to many programming languages. If you are already familiar with mathematical operators and expressions, you will see that SQL operators and expressions generally follow the same rules.
