Building a Simple MDX Query

Now that you have been introduced to the MDX Query Editor, it’s time to put it to use. Through the exercise that follows, you become familiar with those features critical to building and executing a simple MDX query.

Build a simple MDX query in the MDX Query Editor

  1. If you have not already done so, open the MDX Query Editor, as described in previous exercises.

  2. Verify that the MDX Step-by-Step database is selected within the Query Editor toolbar.
