Monitoring Analysis Services Using SQL Server Profiler

SQL Server Profiler can capture events from Analysis Services to help you monitor and troubleshoot performance. Not only can you spot operations that are running slowly, but you can also view the actual Analysis Services Scripting Language (ASSL), Multidimensional Expressions (MDX), and Structured Query Language (SQL) statements that are executed. You can view the events as they occur and you can also create a record of the events, called a trace, in a SQL Server table or a file for later review or playback.
