Changing Report Item Properties by Using Expressions
The power of Reporting Services lies in the ability to use expressions to control virtually every property of each report item. You can use expressions to set a fixed value for a property or to change a property’s value dynamically according to conditions at report execution. These conditions can be determined by a value returned in the data, by a user selection, or by the result of a calculation.
