Managing a Report Model
When you have finished making changes to the report model, you are ready to deploy it to the report server. Before giving users access to the report model, you should test it thoroughly by creating reports using Report Builder. If you find further adjustments are necessary, you can return to your project in BI Dev Studio, edit the model, and redeploy it to the report server. Even after a report model has been released to production for a while, a change to the report model might be required. If you’re careful with changes to a report model that has dependent reports, you can safely incorporate the changes and publish an update version of the report model to the report server.
