Chapter 30. Preparing to use Power View

The key to ease of use in Power View is the availability of a good tabular model. That model must be accessible in some way from a SharePoint site. Although a tabular model might be satisfactory for use with Excel pivot tables or reports designed by using Report Builder or Report Designer, there are some improvements that you might need to make to a tabular model to better support the Power View design experience. In this chapter, we explain the types of tabular models you can use and how to enhance them to work best with Power View.
