At this point in the book, you have learned many interesting features of Tabular and the DAX language. The xVelocity in-memory analytics engine powers two other noteworthy Microsoft tools in the business intelligence (BI) world, PowerPivot for Microsoft Excel and PowerPivot for Microsoft SharePoint. PowerPivot is actually just another name for the xVelocity engine running over Tabular projects.
