Designing In Performance and Tuning from the Start
If you are just starting to design and develop a new SQL Server–based implementation, it would be great to factor in all possible performance and tuning considerations from the beginning. In real life, this is rarely done primarily because much is unknown from a data access, number of users, and table design point of view.
