Designing a Cube by Using the Cube Wizard

Once you’ve created an OLAP database and specified at least one data source within the database, you can build a cube. A cube consists of one or more measures (such as Sales or Cost) from a fact table, and one or more dimensions (such as Product or Time) from dimension tables. When you build a cube, you must specify a fact table, select the measures to extract from the fact table, and also specify any dimensions you want to use, creating the dimensions if they don’t already exist. The Cube Wizard bundles all these steps into one sequential process.
