Monitoring and Tuning Replication
In some ways, tuning replication involves the normal tuning that you do with any SQL Server system. In other ways, tuning replication involves tuning the specific replication agents. In this section you will see some standard replication tuning tips and techniques, along with specific tasks that must be done in order to tune specific replication types.

The SQL Server agents can be monitored via the Windows performance monitor tool (perfmon).
