OLE DB Data Source Template
The OLE DB Data Source Template provides the ability to test OLE DB connectivity by initiating a connection to a specified database and executing a custom query. Natively, the following providers are supported: Microsoft OLE DB Provider for Analysis Services 9.0, Microsoft OLE DB Provider for Indexing Service, Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server, Microsoft OLE DB Simple Provider, MSDataShape, Microsoft OLE DB Provider for Microsoft Directory Services, SQL Native Client, SQLXMLOLEDB, and SQLXMLOLEDB 4.0.
For this example, an OLE DB monitor is configured against the OperationsManager DB. One monitor is configured for database connectivity, and another is configured to execute a query.
