Channels are one of the most useful and most important Teams concepts because it’s only through judicious use of channels that you avoid your team descending into an inefficient, frustrating, and chaotic mess. That’s because you use channels to break up a team into manageable chunks, where each chunk—that is, each channel—represents a subtopic of the overall team topic. By structuring a team with multiple channels, you keep conversations, files, apps, and app notifications separated and organized by the channel subtopics.
