Appendix A. Looking Under the Hood
Microsoft Visio 2013 serves two distinct communities that sometimes overlap. On one hand, there are people who create diagrams using just the tools on the standard user interface. The diagrams they create may be very simple or very sophisticated, but this group of people completes their diagrams without needing to look “under the hood.” The second group of people loves to push Visio beyond its off-the-shelf capabilities by exploring and modifying the ShapeSheet or by writing code to drive the behavior of Visio.
