Managing a Web Site

Once you have installed IIS and regardless of whether you have created your Web site yet, all management takes place using a single tool—the Internet Services Manager (ISM).

ISM is a management console that allows you to administer IIS services. You can open ISM using the following procedure:

1.	Click Start, Control Panel.
2.	If your Control Panel window is not already in classic view, click the Switch to Classic View link at the left of the window.
3.	Double-click Administrative Tools.
4.	Double-click Internet Information Services.

Tip

If you find this method a bit of a pain to use on a regular basis, you could also add a shortcut to your Start menu that points to %SystemRoot%\System32\inetsrv\inetmgr.exe.
