Configuring the Command Prompt

You can configure the Command Prompt to make it more suitable to your tastes. You can choose a larger character size or a different font, for example, or you can change the color of the background or characters.

As with other features in Windows XP, you use Properties pages to configure the command prompt. If you want to set options that apply to all Command Prompt windows, then go to the Control Panel and use the Console icon to access the settings for the default values for the new Command Prompt windows you create.
