Configuring the Logon Process for Security

Logging on to a computer presents a barrier to entry for all users, authorized and unauthorized. In Chapter 3, we explained how the logon and authentication processes work. In this section, we show you how to customize the logon process to make it as easy as possible for legitimate users to log on while still barring users who shouldn't have access.
