Browsing Anonymously

If you're concerned about the identifying information that your browser sends to Web sites as part of an HTTP request (see What Your Browser Gives Away), you might want to consider an anonymous browsing service. Anonymous browsers interpose a proxy between you and the Web sites you visit. You give the proxy the URL of the site you want to see; the proxy fetches the page and sends it on to you, leaving the Web site in the dark about your own identity.
