Throughout this book, I’ve introduced and defined hundreds of acronyms, abbreviations, words, and phrases related to the concepts and features of Windows XP and its associated technologies. This appendix gathers those terms—nearly 300 in all—in one place for handy reference. If you come across an unfamiliar term in the book, chances are it’s defined here. And, of course, feel free to browse these pages and pick out those terms that look interesting.
- accelerator key
The underlined letter in a menu name or menu command.
- active partition
