Notebook Layout View

Notebook Layout view (Figure 1) is a Macintosh-only feature that is brand new in Word 2004. With “pages” that resemble a ruled notebook, Notebook Layout view is designed to make it easy to take notes and write down your thoughts quickly, in a free-form style that’s easy to organize.

In Notebook Layout view, you enter text using an outline-like note structure. You type a note at the top level, then add notes beneath it in indented sublevels. Like Outline view, you can collapse or expand note levels to hide or display details.
