The MIDAS Topfinder/Bottomfinder on Intraday Charts

Little has been said so far in this book about the other major MIDAS indicator, the topfinder/bottomfinder, which for short we refer to as the TB-F indicator. The reason is that this indicator has a far more restricted application than the standard MIDAS S/R curves, and its use also requires more skill in application in addition to an appreciation of what defines a certain type of trend known as an “accelerated trend.” Over the next two chapters we look in detail at TB-F curves, beginning with this contribution, which leads the discussion because it contains the necessary step-by-step procedure for launching the curves.
