I’ve been commiserating with a friend about a string of mean texts her son received from some boys at school. Much to my embarrassment and anger, I’ve now discovered that my son was one of those boys. What do I do?

Oh, boy, this is a tough one. As in the last scenario, it’s important to correctly identify the behavior. Before you label your son a bully (or let anyone else label him that way), try to determine whether this is a one-time deal or if he’s repeatedly hurting a target.
