The migration approach includes selecting a Web project to migrate and making changes in the ASP code so that post-migration changes in ASP.NET code are minimal. We have seen in the previous chapter that the important considerations leading to the correct choice of a project for migration include system requirements for scalability and stability and application architecture. After the project is selected, a migration strategy should be chosen; this can be either vertical migration or a horizontal migration strategy, as discussed in the previous chapter.
