Having asked candidates to jump a few low hurdles in prescreening, we now need to review them against the qualifications that drive hiring decisions. Some think it's all about candidate sourcing, but that's only the beginning. Good sourcing generates volume, builds a healthy pool, and attracts people in whom the company might have interest. But the most creative or high-tech recruiting and sourcing tools do little to distinguish among candidates.
