Understanding how to be mindful
Let us now take a look at what is involved in practising mindfulness. The good news is that what you do in your life might not need to change at all. Nothing external to your mind needs be any different: no person, situation or environment, or even thoughts about these, needs to change. In fact, you can carry on being as busy as you are, yet how you experience your life can become radically different. This may sound like a paradox, but think optical illusions, play on words or those funny conversations that leave you at cross purposes and you may begin to grasp that it is our mind that has the power to create these shifts in perception and, with mindfulness, we can start to learn to do this intentionally. ...
