Changing Organizational Structures
for Mobile Business
Mobility influences business in radical ways, including changing its organizational
structure. When an organization undergoes formal MET, its organizational struc-
ture is affected. Reengineering forced organizations to be process based, thereby
flattening the hierarchy. Mobile processes take that reengineering further, and we
have a loose, dynamically changing matrix-based flattened hierarchy.
