The Axure 7 workspace is organized into several areas. The Sitemap panel is also where check in / check out of pages is done on shared projects.
The Sitemap panel is where all of the pages of a prototype are listed. For large prototypes, I often create empty pages at the first level of the hierarchy to represent logical groups of pages, and then place all the working pages under them as child pages. This helps me organize larger projects. One example of this type of organization might be an e-commerce prototype where we may have groups of pages for areas of the site, such as search, category browsing, and checkout.
