3ITERATIVE MODELING
To paraphrase two Georges, “All models are wrong, but some models are more wrong than others.” This chapter demonstrates the process we use to make models less wrong. As an example, we’ll review the bike share model from the previous chapter, consider its strengths and weaknesses, and gradually improve it. We’ll also see ways to use the model to understand the behavior of the system and evaluate designs intended to make it work better.
This chapter is available as a Jupyter notebook where you can read the text, run the code, and work on the exercises. You can access the notebooks at https://allendowney.github.io/ModSimPy.
