In this chapter, the discontinuous Galerkin (DG) method is applied to
simulate the two-dimensional shallow water ows in channels with
horizontal beds. The two-dimensional shallow water ow equations are
introduced. Different treatments of numerical ux terms are discussed.
The slope limiter presented by Lai and Khan (2012), as discussed in the
previous chapter, is used for the numerical scheme. The numerical scheme
