Abstract

We integrate the boundaryless career concept and the social exchange theory to propose that perceived organizational support for development (POSD) is significantly and positively related to job satisfaction and affective commitment, and negatively related to absenteeism. A POSD scale was created and empirically tested. We then collected data from 413 individuals and conducted a path analysis.
