With the advent of file-based workflows, a new crew position has been added to support the look of the project and manage camera data and settings. This mission-critical job serves as the bridge between production and post as the lab has now moved on-set. Depending on the size and complexity of the show, the role of the Digital Imaging Technician (DIT) may vary to include camera troubleshooting and look management, verifying and backing up data, and preparing dailies for editorial.
