A Perfect Storm:The Working Mother’s Struggle

In 1976, Sally graduated from college and married her boyfriend, Neil. Neil got a job in New England with a Fortune 500 company and Sally got a job as the first female salesperson for a well-established tabletop company. “I traveled the states of Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont. At that time, there were no women on the road, yet the product was geared to women—it was all about women. I loved the product and loved to travel.”
