All fund management firms have to produce regular reports on their investment funds: for unitholders in the case of unit trusts, and for shareholders in the case of investment trusts. The following extract from the 1996 annual report of Fidelity’s Special Values investment trust gives a flavour of Anthony Bolton’s style, as well as details of his holdings at the year end date (31 August 1996).
