Chapter 7. Designing a Monitoring Environment

So far, we have focused on how to use Opsview, plugins, agents, and so on. Using these building blocks, we can now look at how we could use these to set up a monitoring environment suited to our organization.

By adding hosts, assigning templates, creating groups, and so on, we will get the basics sorted; but if we really want an effective system, we need to consider how we want our monitoring to operate within our company and how we want our users to work with Opsview to get the best out of it.
