Moore’s Law for Photonics and Electronics
This chapter presents the evolution of MOSFETS during the last four decades and for the next three decades. The technological challenges to continue downscaling of MOSFETs is discussed as well. Finally, the Moore’s law for integrated photonics devices has been presented.
