Meeting Data Protection Requirements

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) will apply to any user of our Moodle who is resident in the EU, regardless of where we host our Moodle. It is also the most rigorous standard, which means that if we meet the requirements laid out by the GDPR, we can be reasonably confident we have met the requirements of other standards – for example, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). This is why the GDPR has become the de facto data protection standard.
