What Is InfoPath?

InfoPath is a client application, like Microsoft Word, that allows power users and developers to create forms to collect data. According to the Microsoft.com Web site, “Office InfoPath 2007 makes information gathering more efficient by delivering forms that reach the necessary participants easily, reduce redundant data entry, and improve the quality of the data collected.” Included with the Ultimate version of Office or purchased individually, Microsoft Office InfoPath 2007 allows you as the form designer to easily create forms using a familiar user interface (UI). The form designer can create forms using the familiar formatting and layout features such as tables.
