Cost Aspects

The present chapter includes a very detailed cost analysis for multi-access edge computing (MEC), considering different possible edge cloud business models, and also from different points of view. An edge-specific cost structure is also described for a few cases of interest, with particular focus on the operator point of view. Finally, some MEC business model aspects are discussed.
